Dear Colleagues, As I write my final communication as UA president, I am very aware of the tremendous challenges and adversity the last two years have brought. We have all been tested repeatedly during this time, some more severely than others, and I am so proud of all of our faculty for your enduring perseverance and strength during this time. Through it all, UA has continued to be strong and healthy, and I hope you have experienced it as much of a source of support as I have. I particularly want to thank our amazing bargaining team, executive committee, contract administration committee, and executive director, Katlyn Morris. None of you knew what you were signing on for, and I am so very grateful to you. Finally, as we welcome our new president, Ellie Miller, I would like to encourage each of you to consider UA leadership positions in the coming years. I can attest that this work is as fulfilling as it is challenging, and, having seen this faculty pull together during the past two years, I can assure you that you are up to the task. I thank all of you with my whole being for your support and your work and your opinions, even (especially?) when they differed from my own. It has been an honor to serve as your president.
