Kickoff! On February 6, 2008, United Academics kicked off negotiations for our third contract for full-time faculty at UVM. Speaking to a crowd of students, faculty, staff, and reporters from local press and television stations, UA members talked about the issues of academic freedom, curricular and staffing self-governance, and UVM's ability to attract and retain high-calibur faculty that are important to UA's members, and to the UVM community. Click here for audio, video, pictures, transcripts, and press reports from the event. If you couldn't be there, this is the next best thing. Kudos to all the great speakers at our kickoff event!
