How to Join UA
Joining United Academics is easy. You simply need to fill out a United Academics membership card and send it to us at United Academics, 308 Pine St. Burlington VT 05401-4740. Ask your department representative or your academic unit delegate for a card. (Locate your representative.) You can also send a message to or call 802-658-3113 to get your membership card.
Dues for members are 1% of your gross salary, deducted from your UVM paycheck.
Joining means that you will have a say in the faculty organization that is negotiating the legally binding contracts which will cover all full-time and part-time faculty members. The more faculty members that join, the stronger our organization will be. A strong organization means a strong contact. There is strength in numbers.
Once you've joined UA, get in touch with your Departmental Representative to learn more about what UA is doing now to protect academic quality at UVM, and what you can do to make a difference on campus."
